You know that feeling when you pull a load of laundry out of the dryer and discover something that definitely wasn’t supposed to be there?
That happened to me recently.
After drying a load of my boyfriend’s clothes in our new dryer, I noticed a strange metal object sitting inside the drum. At first, I assumed it was something he had accidentally left in a pocket. But the more I looked at it, the more curious I became.
The object is a long, smooth metal rod with a shiny, rounded ball attached to one end and a threaded tip on the other.
What exactly is this thing?
