A contestant recently delivered one of those memorable moments, solving the Bonus Round puzzle under intense pressure and with only seconds left on the clock.
The Bonus Round Is Where the Pressure Peaks
Reaching the Bonus Round is already an accomplishment.
After making it through the main game, contestants face one final puzzle. They are given a category and a limited collection of letters before having only a short amount of time to figure out the answer.
The familiar letters R, S, T, L, N, and E are automatically provided. The contestant then gets to choose additional consonants and one vowel.
That may sound simple.
But when the clock is running, even an expression you know well can suddenly become difficult to recognize.
