What Does Pityriasis Versicolor Look Like?
The condition usually appears as small, round or oval patches that can gradually merge into larger areas.
They are commonly found on:
- The back
- The chest and upper torso
- The neck
- The shoulders
- The upper arms
Depending on a person’s natural skin tone, the patches may appear white, pale, pinkish, tan or brown. Fine scaling may sometimes be visible, while itching is usually absent or mild.
