How exactly does the ADDW system work? The ADDW system has a clear mission: to prevent distractions. If you tend to bury your face in your hands like an ostrich, you’ll receive a warning. The system checks if your gaze and attention are focused on the road ahead, specifically the part of the road you need to monitor to avoid accidents.
If you are distracted, you may be alerted in various ways. Each car manufacturer may choose a different method. Imagine a slight noise or vibration in the steering wheel. This gently brings you back to reality and helps you refocus.
