Powder-coated steel or wrought iron racks are good choices for heavier loads, while lighter wooden shelves or decorative racks may be appropriate for small amounts of wood used primarily for decoration.
The wall itself is equally important.
A rack loaded with logs can become surprisingly heavy.
Install It Securely

Before mounting a rack, determine what type of wall you’re working with and use appropriate hardware.
For drywall, locate wall studs whenever possible. Masonry, brick, stone, and stucco may require different anchors and installation methods.
