A recent article from Bored Daddy highlights five major health problems associated with reduced longevity: heart disease, type 2 diabetes, stroke and other circulatory diseases, cancer, and chronic lung disease.

However, there is an important distinction: avoiding these diseases does not guarantee that someone will live to 100. Longevity depends on many factors, including genetics, lifestyle, environment, medical care and chance.
